Company-X director David Hallett was recently interviewed by Newshub journalist Michael Morrah for a story exposing cash for fake jobs investigated by Immigration New Zealand.

Hallett was offered tens of thousands of dollars if he created a fake job for a student which would help him acquire a visa.

β€œI would call it a bribe from my perspective,” said Hallett, also chair of the IT Professionals Hamilton branch.

β€œHe had a stack of cash available to him, and the implication was that if I was happy to do this, he would organise cash for me as a payment that was not traceable.”
