Company-X was named a finalist twice in one day.

The Hamilton-based software specialist was named a finalist in the Independent Software Vendor’s Homegrown Innovators category of the 2017 Reseller News ICT Awards.

Then we heard we were in contention for the Westpac Waikato Business Awards Global Operator Award.

Developer Schalk Bower received the company’s Waikato Business Awards finalist certificate at last night’s Finalist Announcement Evening at the Gallagher of Performing Arts Centre, University of Waikato.

Thanks to a carefully planned strategy, developed by some of the best in the business, Company-X was a finalist in the Strategy and Planning section of the Westpac Waikato Business Awards last year.

Company-X director Jeremy Hughes who founded the Hamilton software specialist with David Hallett in 2012, was nominated in the Excellence in Public Sector IT category in the 2016 New Zealand Excellence in IT Awards for his work creating a tool that could analyze and report on the nation’s roading data.

New Zealand Transport Agency Road Efficiency Group chair Dawn Inglis received the 2017 Roading Asset Management Innovation Award at the Road Infrastructure Management Forum in March. It was presented for the One Network Road Classification Performance Measures Reporting Tool Company-X built, after Inglis gave a presentation.

Developing software for international companies led Company-X to win a Services Exporter of the Year award in the Air New Zealand Cargo ExportNZ Awards 2017. Company-X won the award in the category for businesses with export revenue of up to $10 million.
