Ten tips to get the most out of Transport Insights

Whether you’re new to the role or an experienced professional,  these are the ten ways to get the most out of Transport Insights.

Use the Traffic Count Estimation (TCE) module to see your count data

The module automates the process of estimating traffic volumes, removing the need for manual calculations and analysis.

Quarterly maintenance costs to budget now showing on the dashboard

Keep track of how much has been claimed quarterly compared to the estimated budget. This can be found under performance > road maintenance delivery.

Compare your results to your peers

See how other councils are performing and learn from a community of your peers. Discover what they are doing and how you can get better value for your investment.

See how your ONF Transport Outcomes compare to other networks.

Choose different performance dashboards within Transport Insights

Toggle the advanced view feature to minimise or view all of the tiles within the dashboard. Soon you’ll be able to pick which tiles you see.

Filter on data quality results to focus on key metrics to address

Target high importance metrics to improve your scores such as “major issues”, or “minor issues”.

Visit the Results Table in the Data Quality section and select your filters.

Download charts or chart data

When visible, click on the hamburger icon  (3 stacked lines) to download your preferred chart in either an SVG, PNG, or CSV data format. Downloadable charts are available with ONF, regional reporting, performance dashboards, and asset condition, maintenance operations.

Login for added functionality

Logged in functions include more visibility into performance functions such as asset condition, regional reporting, and TCE and admin functions depending on your role.

Generate PDFs of the current dashboard pages as takeaways for meetings

Grab a PDF of the current content of the main dashboard and drill down on individual topics to share with your teams.

Click the downward arrow icon in the top right corner of the Performance Dashboard, a specific performance dashboard report, or anywhere else it may exist to save the content as a PDF.

Explore the flyouts that provide more information about specific modules

The question mark at the top right corner of the ONF reporting, regional reporting, and TCE pages include additional descriptions, links, and data quality information related to the page that is being viewed.
