The problem

Japan-funded Auckland International College wanted to give the parents of its foreign high school-aged pupils with the ability to check in on lessons.

The solution

Company-X designed and built a web-based system that connected to classroom webcams.

The system integrated with the college timetable and other pupil management data.

The solution enabled parents to log in and see the feed from their child’s classroom webcam.

Parents could also see their child’s academic record and chat online with their teachers.

The verdict

“The system architecture of this software was created with clear foresight, enabling it to be easily adapted to our new student management system when we upgraded,” said Auckland International College operations manager Julian Wilson.

“Company-X listened, really understood our new requirements and the technological arena, and redeveloped the software application and the user interface to integrate seamlessly with the student management system upgrade.”
