Transport and logistics industry safety culture and leadership specialists Success Formula asked Company-X to build “The Brain” - a tool that could pull together data from different clients and improve the speed of producing reports for the client, as well as compare data across different dimensions including industry, years, and country.

Success Formula was acquired by Australia’s leading provider of specialist insurance, NTI, after this software development project was completed.

Success Formula specialises in safety, culture and leadership within the transport and logistics industry in New Zealand.

NTI is an Australian success story. For over four decades, the organisation has proudly supported Australia’s transport and logistics industries, which they are deeply connected to, with specialised insurance products.

Success Formula had tried building its own software, off the shelf solutions, and had previously asked another vendor to do a custom build, but none of the results met its stringent requirements.

Success Formula was referred to Company-X who proposed building a bespoke solution using agile methodology. A proof-of-concept was created to ensure that the software would provide the expected value and meet data security requirements, before being augmented and slotted into the business processes.

Company-X built a bespoke tool which takes data from multiple clients and applies different lenses.

The first lens is a snapshot in time, with meaningful reporting and recommendations able to be delivered to NTI’s clients.

Another lens allows different dimensions to be explored such as whether a client has improved over time (trend analysis), a breakdown within an organisation by department, comparing with industry peers, and comparing different countries.
